I was driving home the other day from teaching a class and I noticed holiday lights are popping up everywhere. I know the economy is down and stores are hoping to have us buy early and often. Thinking back, I seem to remember that this time of the year use to wait until Thanksgiving. That seems like the proper time to start and to get into a holiday mood. At the current rate of putting up lights so earlier, we should expect to see holiday lights going up around Columbus Day in October in the not so far off future.
