American Recovery and Reinvestment Act Logo

I was watching the nightly news and saw this interesting story on a new design. The White House has released this logo that it wants to use on projects that are funded by the economic stimulus package. Projects completed with the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) will get the seal of approval with the logo and listings on a website, recovery.gov.
A second logo, TIGER, will also be used on Transportation Projects (Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery). We should be able to see the handy work of the recovery plan soon on a bridge or bank statement soon.

UPDATE: I found that Mode Project designed the logos (Creative Director, Steve Juras with designers Aaron Draplin {of Field Book Fame} and Chris Glass)

UPDATE #2:
To download an "official" high-resolution version of the new emblem, click here. This .zip file includes several versions of the ARRA logo in .tif, .jpg, .pdf, .png, .eps, and .ai files.

Yo! Danny. This is Nate from your portfolio class last year around... maybe August? I don't think I ever got the chance to comment on your blog. I really like the posts you make on here. Great job man. Hopefully I'll be able to cruise down to Orange County sometime soon to come catch up. Take care!
