An Amazing Photo of Inaugural Address

This photo is crazy cool of President Barack Obama's Inaugural Address by David Bergman. This photo is made up of 220 Canon G10 images and the file is 59,783 X 24,658 pixels or 1,474 megapixels. It took more than six and a half hours for the Gigapan software to put together all of the images and the completed TIF file is almost 2 gigabytes. You can zoom in and see President Bush with a great expression and watch Justice Thomas catching what looks like a nap. Click here to view and zoom into this image. To learn more about this process go to Gigapan.

this got passed around at my office and we had fun looking for weird edits. the guy "who was moved" (spliced face) and the guy who lost everything except his legs (and there's even a man in uniform looking right at him ;)

oh, technology!
